Missouri State USBC awards six $1,000 scholarships each year. This year's recipients will be awarded their scholarships at prior to the business portion of the Annual Meeting on the morning of Saturday, June 1. Receiving scholarships will be: Sydney Horton, Kansas City--Carolyn Gilbert Scholarship for Higher Education; Cameron Holmes, Warrensburg--Carolyn Gilbert Scholarship for Higher Education; Hailey Collins, Springfield--Dorothy Johnson Female Outstanding Bowling Scholarship; Jeremy Kinealy, St. Louis--Don Rohman Male Outstanding Bowling Scholarship; Avery Kern, Wildwood--Marie Hisel Female Leadership Scholarship; and Grant Smith, St. Peters--Marvin Townsend Male Leadership Scholarship.
HALL OF FAME
On the evening of June 1, 2019, MOUSBC will induct six new members to its Hall of Fame. Joining the hall in 2019 will be: Don McClure, Jefferson City, and Patrick Henderson, Kansas City, both in the Superior Performance-Male category; Linda Bradshaw, St. Louis, and Kim Kramer, Imperial, both in the Superior Performance-Female category; and Kim Wade, Jefferson City, and Tom Dawson, St. Louis, in the Meritorious Service category. Tickets for the banquet are $25 each, and are available on the Showcase Registration form. The doors will open to everyone when the evening program begins, at approximately 7:30 PM.
The following candidates have been slated for election to the MOUSBC Board of Directors by the Nominating Committee: 1st Vice President--Bob Fields, Kansas City (incumbent); Adult Directors--Tom Bromley, Farmington (incumbent); Lori Gage, St. Joseph (incumbent); David Scott, Springfield (incumbent); Cathy Snodgrass, Jefferson City (incumbent); Debra Beal, Warsaw; Bernard Allen, Kansas City (incumbent); and Erika Adams, St. Louis; Youth Directors--Thomas Dawson, St. Louis (incumbent); Aaron Yuratovitch, Kansas City; and Mark Elder, Perryville. BAKER DOUBLES BOWLING TOURNAMENT
We will again be hosting the Baker Doubles Bowling Tournament at Capital Bowl in Jefferson City. Squads will be available at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, and 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 2. Entry forms will be available soon.
